FIELD HOSPITALS

Field Hospitals can be of different dimensions, type and capacity depending of the needs and the technical specifications of the customer.

In general, the hospitals can be clasified in 3 types:

  • Rapid deployment (QDH),
  • Semi-permanent Hospitals and
  • Permanent Hospitals.

The configuration can change depending of the medical circunstances  of the countries where the Hospital is going to be installed. MANDRADE CONSULTS works directly with the customer advising them and helping to develop projects tailored to the particular needs of each one. You can add, remove or modify modules and services at your convenience.

QDH (TEMPOR. FIELD HOSPITALS -EMERG.)

Quick Deployment Hospitals (QDH), have to meet the condition to be able to be deployed within a maximum of 1-2 days and are specifically aimed at actions of emergency, natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc.), as well as performances of urgency for refugees. These hospitals are composed by the essential and basics units of a hospital, such as First Aid and Emergency Operating Theaters as well as a small area for Post-Surgical  and Recovery.

A morgue trailer and a  kitchen trailer, as well as minimum sanitary services (Chemical WC and Showers) are also of esential incorporation. Of course, this configuration does not have to be rigid, but which can be adapted according to the specific needs of each Government or entity.

SEMIPERMANENT FIELD HOSPITAL

Quick Deployment Hospitals (QDH), have to meet the condition to be able to be deployed within a maximum of 1 day and are specifically aimed at actions of emergency, natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc.), as well as performances of urgency for refugees.

Of course, this configuration does not have to be rigid, but which

can be adapted according to the specific needs of each Government or entity. Flexibility is a must in this cases.

PERMANENT FIELD HOSPITALS

Permanent Hospitals are hospitals to be installed at least 1 year to exercise its functions. These hospitals have most or all of their services in container, already well in single, double or triple version.

It is advisable that at least the area of hospitalization, triage and first aid is under tent. These areas don't need necessarily be in container, not to mention the rising prices that it suppose.

All water and electricity infrastructure services are in container as well as kitchens, laundries, bakeries, fridges, water treatment plant, water tanks (clean and waste) and the assembly time is lower than the one of a semi-permanent one.

These hospitals are less common due to the big budget required, not only for its acquisition but for its subsequent maintenance.
